Xenial Consulting are currently working with a Higher Education establishment based in West London who are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you be an integral part of the Finance Team and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparation of annual revenue and capital budget
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of monthly cashflow reports.
- Monitoring the financial position of all cost centres and provide support to budget managers.
- Monitoring expenditure and project salary costs against budgets.
- Recommending efficiency savings
- Assisting in the preparation of the business case for capital investment programes
- Supporting the tendering & evaluation process for all of the institutions contracts
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of all college financial applications.
- Analysing financial data and produce reports to management
- Be a contact point for internal and external auditors as appropriate.
- Maintaining rolling schedule of implementation of audit recommendations.
- Managing and completing the year-end financial accounts
- Ensuring that all grant claims and statistical returns are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
- Ensuring bank accounts and all control accounts are subject to regular reconciliation and that unexplained items are investigated.
- Ensuring that quarterly VAT returns are submitted on a timely basis
- Assisting with the development and training of finance staff.
You will be a Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years previous experience of working within a Higher Education setting.
